Planning a boat trip in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, and wondering if the Aphrodite 2 Lazy Day Cruise is actually worth it? With so many options, it can be hard to know which cruise truly delivers – and which ones leave you feeling rushed, crowded, or underwhelmed.
We took this cruise ourselves to see if it really lives up to the hype. From iconic coastal landmarks and swim stops in the Blue Lagoon and Konnos Bay to onboard lunch and a relaxed sailing pace, we experienced every part of the itinerary firsthand.
If you’re looking for a scenic, low-stress day on the water – whether you’re a solo traveller, couple, or family – our review will help you decide if this cruise is the right fit for your trip.
We chose this Aphrodite 2 Lazy Day Cruise – Blue Lagoon, Turtle Cove, with Lunch:
This is the itinerary for the Aphrodite 2 Lazy Day Cruise that we took.
We boarded the boat around 9:00 a.m. and headed out for the day at around 10:00 a.m.
Our first stop was the Ayia Napa Sea Caves with their impressive rock formations and azure waters. We changed the position of the boat a couple of times to get different photo angles.

Next up was Cape Greco, the highest point of the Eastern coastline of Cyprus. Cruising around the cape, we could admire it from different vantage points.

Next up was our first swimming stop, the Blue Lagoon. We loved swimming in the clear blue water!

Crow's Arch, known locally as Kamara tou Koraka, was our next quick photo stop. It’s a naturally formed rock bridge which is inaccessible by land due to rock erosion.

Our next photo stop was the picturesque Chapel of Ayioi Anargyroi. It’s built at a secluded location above a sea cave on a rocky cliff.

We cruised past Protaras with its famous beaches like Green Bay Beach while we were served our delicious lunch.
Our next stop was the Ghost Town of Famagusta. Famagusta used to be a seaside resort which was abandoned when Cyprus was split into two in 1974. As Famagusta lies in Northern Cyprus, our boat couldn’t venture closer. We did get quite a thorough introduction of it’s history, though.

Last but not least, we had our second swimming stop at Konnos Bay. We even spotted a turtle, although we were there in October!
On the way back to Ayia Napa, using the sun-mats on deck to lounge was a very tempting option.

This cruise strikes a sweet spot between sightseeing and proper relaxation – with enough structure to stay interesting. Each stop came with clear explanations, which made the experience feel more meaningful than just sailing past pretty scenery. Hearing the stories behind places like Cape Greco and Famagusta added depth and context to views we might otherwise have just photographed and moved on from.
The swimming stops were also well timed. We had plenty of time to actually enjoy the water rather than rushing in and out. Both the Blue Lagoon and Konnos Bay had calm, crystal-clear water, and the relaxed schedule made it easy to swim, snorkel, or jump.
One thing we really appreciated was that the boat never felt overcrowded. There was enough space to move around, find a sunny or shaded spot, and enjoy the ride without feeling packed in.
There’s a bar on board where you can buy drinks throughout the day, which is a nice touch if you want something cold between stops. Combined with the included lunch, it felt like everything you needed for a comfortable day at sea was covered.

Very good day would highly recommend it, made very welcome as soon as got on the boat. The food prepared on board was very nice. The crew were brilliant from the start, an they walked round all trip asking if everything was ok. Well worth the money !!

The cruise we did includes:
Yes! Especially if you want to see the highlights of the Ayia Napa coastline in a comfortable “lazy day” on the water. This cruise gives you a bit of everything: dramatic cliffs, famous landmarks, historical insight, and two genuinely great swim stops, all at an easygoing pace.
With lunch included, snorkelling gear ready to go, and a relaxed schedule, it offers good value for money, and you get a varied day of exploring, swimming, and relaxing.
We stayed at A Maos Hotel Apartments. The location is quiet but very central – up a hill, but we didn’t mind. The rooms are well equipped with a kitchenette and a small workspace. We had a sea view in the distance from our balcony. We also used the swimming pool often and think it’s a nice touch.
All in all, we think it’s a great base – especially if you plan to stay a bit longer in Ayia Napa.
