Cyprus tours and excursions are a great way to see a lot of the island – especially when you don’t want to rent a car!
After we visited Cyprus, we compiled a list of our favourite Ayia Napa day trips.
When booking a Famagusta trip, make sure that you will actually enter the ghost town. Not all Famagusta tours will, but of course, our two picks do 😉
Varosha used to be a famous holiday resort in the 1970s. It became abandoned in 1974. Homes, hotels, shops, and bars remain empty since then.

Superb trip , would recommend ! Great value for money:
Hayley was a brilliant guide , shared interesting information throughout our journey and we had 2 hours to explore the ghost town . Chance to walk the streets , whilst others hired electric scooters. Little dip in the sea and a few drinks on the beach . This is a fascinating place , definitely make sure you book on the ‘original ‘ red bus. The windy road was a perfect way to cool down , thanks Mark ! They even supplied us with water. Top trip

Because we travelled out of season we found it very difficult to access tours locally. I had used Get Your Guide previously so decided to look on their website and found just what we were looking for. We had a shared minibus with just one other couple; the itinerary was exactly as described and our driver Chris was friendly, efficient and informative. We were picked up and dropped off at the front door of our hotel so couldn’t have been more convenient. Really couldn’t fault it.

Why choose this tour? We personally would choose the Mini Mountain Jeep Safari from Ayia Napa because we are nerds who love to see a good copper mine. If that’s not your gem (see what we did there 😅), maybe breathing fresh mountain air and enjoying panoramic views will convince you.

The driver was totally casual and made a total effort. The copper lake alone is worth this excursion. You get to places you wouldn't go to. […]

Why choose this tour? The Guided snorkeling - Agia Napa Sea Caves + Konnos beach (NO boat) is perfect for three types of people:
The trip is fully customisable depending on the weather and your preferences.
Normally, the snorkelling trips begin at the Ayia Napa Sea Caves. Usually, two sea caves are entered and you can also snorkel under Lovers' Bridge. This is the main snorkelling stop with around 1 km (0.6 mi) in length, but as it’s a private trip, it’s all up to you!
Afterwards, you visit Konnos Beach as there’s a good chance for spotting sea turtles as well as other marine life.
The 3rd snorkel spot is usually Blue Lagoon (for the beautiful coastline) or Green Bay/Crystal Springs Bay (to see more sea turtles and/or other sea animals).

We had and excellent tour of Nicosia, I was resigned to the fact that we would be travelling for some time but when our guide got on the bus she talked us all through the history of Cyprus which was so interesting and made the journey shoot by. The tour was well balanced with a guided walking tour and time on our own to explore. Crossing the green line is quite an experience and free lemonade and halloumi pastries are waiting for you on the otherside! I was in two minds about this trip as it was a whole day and quite a trek but it was fantastic, interesting and I'm so glad I booked it!

These monasteries are absolutely amazing. It's well-worth the trip and the price is great too! What I also liked about this trip is that there is a running commentary given by the guide pretty much for the entire trip so you're always learning about the country or locations that you're passing through.
